Try webCDwriter on KNOPPIX
You may now simply try webCDwriter on
KNOPPIX
3.8 and above (tested on V3.9-2005-05-27-DE).

Boot the
KNOPPIX CD

Click the icon
in the bottom line of the desktop
-
Enter the following commands (you may use the left mouse
button to select the lines and afterwards enter them with
the center mouse button)
wget http://Haeger.name/download/webcdwriter_2.7.3-1_i386.deb
sudo dpkg -i --ignore-depends=libgcc1 webcdwriter_2.7.3-1_i386.deb
sudo /usr/sbin/CDWconfig.sh root root
sudo /etc/init.d/CDWserver start

Open your web browser and try
http://127.0.0.1:12411
on the KNOPPIX machine or http://your_server:12411
on your network.
Note: webCDwriter will store the sessions on the RAM disk of KNOPPIX.
That's why the size of the sessions is limited by the RAM of your system.

To try the commercial CDWserver Pro on KNOPPIX
go through the following steps:

Install the base system (see above)

Make sure your system clock is valid

Enter the following commands
wget http://Haeger.name/download/CDWserverPro-2.7.3-static.sh
sudo sh CDWserverPro-2.7.3-static.sh

Get a free "14-day CDWserver Pro Trial License". Please note
that this license currently limits the size of a single DVD session
to 1 GB but you may write several sessions to a DVD.

Visit http://127.0.0.1:12411/about.html
on the KNOPPIX machine to check the active license.

If CDWserver Pro meets your requirements,
buy a license key and simply save
it as /etc/CDWserver/key.txt on the server.
